India Vehicle Sales Up 8.6% in May

India vehicle sales totaled 285,210 units for May 2012, up 8.6% vs. May 2011.

May 2012 vehicles sales decreased 0.1% compared with April 2012 sales.

2012 sales through May totaled 1,629,438. This was up 13.1% over the same period in 2011.

Maruti Suzuki was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 501,157, resulting in a 30.8% market share.
