India Vehicle Sales Up 8.9% in July

India vehicle sales totaled 269,977 units for July 2012, up 8.9% vs. July 2011.

July 2012 vehicles sales decreased 1.4% compared with June 2012 sales.

2012 sales through July totaled 2,170,253. This was up 11.9% over the same period in 2011.

Maruti Suzuki was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 655,712, resulting in a 30.2% market share.
