SEMA to Invade Windy City Show
The Specialty Equipment Market Assn. plans to set up shop at February’s Chicago Auto Show, perhaps stealing a little thunder from the auto makers. SEMA says Chicago marks its first foray into exhibiting at auto shows. The group, which represents thousands of companies making aftermarket parts, will set up a 7,000-sq.-ft. (650-sq.-m) exhibit at the McCormick Center, which hosts the annual auto salon.

The Specialty Equipment Market Assn. plans to set up shop at February’s Chicago Auto Show, perhaps stealing a little thunder from the auto makers.
SEMA says Chicago marks its first foray into exhibiting at auto shows. The group, which represents thousands of companies making aftermarket parts, will set up a 7,000-sq.-ft. (650-sq.-m) exhibit at the McCormick Center, which hosts the annual auto salon.
The booth will show off various award-winning designs and products from SEMA members – including customized versions of vehicles produced by Detroit’s Big Three auto makers that won awards at SEMA’s 2004 show last month in Las Vegas.
SEMA also will announce the vehicle sponsor for its 2005 SEMA show to be held in Las Vegas next November.
