Spain Vehicle Sales Down 15.5% in August

Spain vehicle sales totaled 45,836 units for August 2013, down 15.5% vs. August 2012.

August 2013 vehicle sales decreased 46.1% compared with July 2013 sales. The European holiday likely contributed to the drop.

2013 sales through August totaled 563,754, down 3.3% over the same period in 2012.

Volkswagen is the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 102,309, resulting in an 18.2% market share.
