U.K. Vehicle Sales Up 0.8% in March

U.K. vehicle sales totaled 418,739 units for March 2012, up 0.8% vs. March 2011.

March vehicle sales increased 473.2% vs. February 2012 sales. March sales are traditionally high due to the beginning of a new license plate cycle.

2012 sales through March totaled 639,092. This was down 0.3% over the same period in 2011.

Ford was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 99,403, resulting in a 15.6% market share.
