Ford Sales Chief to Retire; More Leadership Changes Announced
Barb Samardzich, 54, currently vice president, product development-Ford of Europe, is appointed chief operating officer-Ford of Europe.

Ford makes a number of leadership changes, including the retirement of Ken Czubay, vice president-U.S. marketing, sales and service.
Czubay, 64, started his career with Ford in 1970, before leaving for brief stints at Nissan and Toyota. He returned to Ford in 1980, assuming his current position. Czubay will be succeeded by John Felice, 51, currently general sales manager-Ford and Lincoln.
During his nearly 30-year career, Felice has served in a variety of marketing and sales positions in the U.S. and Asia, including president of Ford Thailand operations.
Barb Samardzich, 54, currently vice president-product development for Ford of Europe, is appointed chief operating officer-Ford of Europe. Samardzich will be succeeded by Joe Bakaj, 51, currently vice president-powertrain engineering.
Bob Fascetti, 51, is named vice president-powertrain engineering, succeeding Bakaj. Fascetti currently leads the engineering operations for all of Ford’s global engine development.
