Ford Shuffles International, Finance Executives

The appointments are aimed at focusing development and accelerating growth initiatives in Asia/Pacific and Africa.

Ford Motor Co. makes several executive appointments within its international and finance operations aimed at focusing development and continuing growth in Asia and Africa.

The appointments take effect Sept. 1

Among the changes is the appointment of Mazda Motor Corp. Senior Executive Vice President John Parker to Ford group vice president-Asia/ Pacific and Africa.

Based in Bangkok, Parker will coordinate all Asia/Pacific and African operations, while also continuing to represent Mazda at the board level, Ford says. He will report to Mark Schulz, executive vice president and president-International Operations.

Bob Graziano, Ford president and CEO-South Africa, will succeed Parker at Mazda and will be responsible for research and development; quality; marketing and sales; information technology; and environmental initiatives. His replacement will be named at a later date.

Ford Vice President and Controller Jim Gouin is named vice president-finance, strategy and business development-International Operations.

Gouin will report to Schulz, along with Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Don LeClair, the auto maker says. Replacing Gouin is Peter Daniel, Ford vice president-Asia/Pacific and Africa.
