Ford taking closer look at Samsung

Two months after signing a letter of intent regarding cooperative opportunities, Lee Dae-won, CEO of South Korea's Samsung Motors, flies to Detroit in March to meet with W. Wayne Booker, Ford vice chairman and the top executive responsible for Ford's Asia-Pacific operations. Samsung officials tell Korean publications they would consider allowing Ford to build a Ford car at Samsung's Pusan, Korea, plant, as well as joint production of some parts and cooperative research and development efforts.
