Strong vote for Jacques' leadership

Ford Motor Co. Chief Financial Officer Martin Inglis does his best during a media briefing on third-quarter earnings to squelch growing speculation that Chief Executive Jacques Nasser would be forced out as early as year's end. “We get a sense here that it doesn't matter what we say. (Media) people seem to have their own agenda,” Mr. Inglis says. “My perspective is that Bill Ford and Jacques Nasser are getting along fine. (And) in my view, Jacques Nasser is the leading CEO in the industry; he was before, is today and will be in the future. I would not want to face what we face today with anybody but Jac Nasser. You must be seeing something I'm not. (The rumors are) disruptive, bad for employee (morale) and not helping our business.”
