Stellantis’s Polish car plant celebrates producing its 12,500,000th vehicle in preparation to become the automaker’s first European plant to build its all-electric Jeep.

The Jeep Avenger CUV soon will be introduced into the Tychy plant, which last week built a unique, “12.5M jubilee” two-tone Fiat 500 Dolcevita, equipped with its latest hybrid powertrain, which will go to a customer in Belgium.

Following the plant’s tradition, employees also celebrate and single out the cars produced immediately before and after the jubilee car. Vehicle number 12,499,999 was a Lancia Ypsilon Hybrid, which will go to the Italian market, while the +1 model, with the number 12,500,001, the sporty Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally, will head off to Germany.

Tomasz Gębka, Stellantis plant manager in Tychy, says: “We are beating new records and it is all thanks to our beloved Fiat 500 because it is with the production of this model that our plant has reached such an impressive figure of 12.5 million.”
