“A little more than that, actually,” says one paint service owner. “Just when you think you have every possible color, the car manufacturers introduce new ones, and we have to come up with new formulations.”

Fleets of service trucks travel to dealerships to provide on-site touch-up service. It allows dealers to keep inventory on the lot and on the market.
