General Motors Co. Vice Chairman Stephen Girsky’s compensation package totals $5 million in salary and equity.
In a Form 8-K filed today with the Security Exchange Commission, GM reveals the former Wall Street analyst will receive $500,000 in annual salary, $3 million in equity over three years beginning in 2012 and restricted stock worth $1.5 million under the company’s long-term incentive plan.
Girsky, 47, will remain on GM’s board of directors but will not receive additional compensation as such.
He was named vice chairman-corporate strategy and business development last month.
Last month, GM revealed a $9 million pay package for Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre.
