The sixth annual world fleet show in the U.K. is forecast to be the biggest yet.
Organizers say a host of new exhibitors have booked space for this year’s Fleet World Fleet Show on May 11 at the Silverstone circuit, 80 miles (120 km) northwest of London.
Director Jerry Ramsdale says the overwhelming majority of last year’s exhibitors have confirmed they will be at Silverstone again this year.
“We were delighted with the quality of the audience last year, with many fleet decision-makers realizing that the show offered the perfect balance between test driving, networking and education,” Ramsdale says in a statement.
He says the event will include an array of features for fleet executives that will more than justify taking a day out of the office. There will be test-driving of more new cars on three circuits with an emphasis on some of the latest alternatively fueled models, as well as conventionally powered vehicles.
Organizers expect test drives to be busy again this year after drives at last year’s show increased 20%.
Indoor exhibition halls will host demonstrations of some of the latest developments, products and services in the fleet arena, while offering opportunities for attendees to hold face-to-face meetings and network with exhibitors and other visitors.
A series of fleet-management workshops is scheduled.
Last year’s event attracted 25% more key fleet decision-makers than in 2014, and the audience has increased in size every year since the inaugural event in 2011.
