MINI Financial Services is the latest automotive lender to issue its own brand of credit card, described as “an innovative little piece of plastic” that allows users to accumulate points for goods at dealerships.

It is a customizable VISA card that allows holders to design their own credit card image using a patent-pending, Web-based configurator. There are about a million possible options.

During the online or e-mail application process, MINI owners and brand enthusiasts alike are directed to the card configurator at www.4MyMINICard.com.

Applicants are then guided through the process of configuring the MINI image they want on the face of their new credit card.

“The MINI brand is rooted in individuality and self-expression, so it made sense to compliment those brand values when creating the MINI Card,” says Ed Robinson, CEO of BMW Financial Services, Americas Region, which includes MINI Financial.

Reward points accumulated for using the card are redeemable for various things at dealerships, including cash back on the purchase of a vehicle, parts and accessories.
