Champion Motorsport, a new subsidiary of Champion Motors, the world's largest Porsche dealer since 1989, is building a new 22,000-sq.-ft. showroom, service and design facility in Pompano Beach, FL.

Designed by architect Neil R. Duputy, the new structure will be completed this year and sport the same “starnet” design construction in its central cylindrical section as the Epcot Center at Disneyworld.

Champion also owns a successful racing team that's won world-renowned races with their Audi R8, and recently placed third at the 24 Hours of LeMans.

Dave Maraj is founder of Champion Motors, Champion Motorsport and the dealership operation, which also sells Audis.

Maraj, born in India, originally managed his family's precious metals, diamond and jewelry business in Trinidad before moving to Florida and purchasing the dealership in 1988. Since then he's increased Champion's sales from $12 million to $150 million.

On a two-acre site, the new facility will house a 2,270-sq.ft. showroom, corporate offices, a lifestyle boutique, a European-themed café, and a styling and design studio.

Champion Motorsport's 8,000 sq.-ft. auto service area will contain five auto lifts, a state-of-the-art laser wheel alignment center, a self-contained four-wheel dynamometer, two fully dedicated and equipped machine rooms and a 100% percent static-free microchip burning room.

Champion Motorsport provides aftermarket performance parts and accessories for Porsches, Ferraris, Corvettes, BMWs, Vipers and Audis. It also manufactures wheels, brakes, suspension and exhaust systems, custom body kits and interiors for a range of luxury sports cars.

Maraj's 25-year-old son Naveen runs Champion Motorsport. He says, “I love custom wheels and accessories because they allow every owner to personalize his or her car.”
