Customer-relationship management software provider DealerSocket is holding its first annual user summit this month in California.

The DealerSocket User Summit — CRM Catalyst 2010 — will take place June 22-23 at the Marriott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point.

It is intended as an interactive event for dealership people to learn, improve, connect and make the most of their CRM investment.

“The most important part of CRM is not the technology, but the people that use it,” says Jonathan Ord, DealerSocket CEO and co-founder.

Among the key elements for successfully implementing a CRM system is making sure staffers know how to use it.

“By focusing on renewal, learning and adoption through this interactive event, our dealers will walk away with best practices, ideas and relationships that will help them do their jobs better and ultimately sell and service more cars,” Ord says.

The program will include:

  • Hands on learning opportunities.

  • Best practice round tables.

  • Break-out sessions by discipline: sales, marketing, service and customer satisfaction.
