As the auto and trucking industries transition to electrified vehicles and those powered by hydrogen, there is much pain and disruption. There is heavy discounting of battery-electric vehicles, which is pushing up demand but also making higher-priced plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles harder to sell.
Meanwhile, the trucking industry is working through a transition from diesel to hydrogen- and battery-powered cargo haulers that will take a decade or more.
