Consumer Desire and Willingness for Automotive Connected Services 2.0

In 2017, Acxiom and J. D. Power teamed up to find out what consumers thought of the then-current desires of automotive vehicles and connected services. In the last two years, we’ve seen even more developments, including the following:

  • Generational shifts of vehicle buyers, users of services, and payment changes.

  • Additional convergence of retail shopping industries both inside and outside of the vehicle, added to the previous areas of insurance and emerging technology partnerships.

In 2019, according to some sources we have hit 28 billion connected devices, and the forecast for 2025 will approach 38.6 billion. As a result, the world around us has more data available than ever before. New services are being invented every day, bred out of consumer need and technical feasibility.
