Nissan introduces the ’23 Pathfinder Rock Creek at the New York auto show ahead of its sales launch in late summer.
The off-road-inspired CUV, offered in 4-wheel-drive only, “is designed for buyers seeking a higher level of fun and adventure, without compromising the family comfort and conveniences of other Pathfinder grade levels,” Nissan says in a news release.
The Rock Creek trim level includes:
Off-road-tuned suspension with 5/8-in. (14-mm) lift
18-in. beadlock-style wheels mounted with all-terrain tires
Tubular roof rack with up to 220-lb. (100 kg) load capacity
Exclusive front fascia with dark V-motion grille and mesh insert
Rock Creek badging
Exclusive leatherette/fabric seats with Rock Creek embroidery
Orange contrast stitching on seats, steering wheel, instrument panel, center console and door panels
Standard Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-Road Mode
Also standard on the Rock Creek are tow hitch receiver and harness, 6,000-lb. (2,720-kg) maximum towing capacity, second-row captain’s chairs and LED fog lights. The CUV will be available in six monotone exterior colors and four 2-tone exterior combinations.
The ’23 Pathfinder Rock Creek offers 295 hp and 270 lb.-ft. (366 Nm) of torque over standard grades when using premium fuel, and 284 hp and 259 lb.-ft. (351 Nm) when using regular fuel.
“The 2022 Pathfinder was all about a ‘return to rugged,’ and the Pathfinder Rock Creek takes that spirit even further,” says Michael Colleran, senior vice president-Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales.
“From the urban jungle to the natural beauty that can be reached within minutes from the city, Pathfinder Rock Creek has both the style and hardware to create an adventure just about anywhere.”
