A new poll by the American Affluence Research Center indicates 37% of those surveyed expect to buy or lease a new vehicle in the next 12 months.

That's an increase of 9% from six months ago and 6% from a year ago.

The semi-annual “Survey of Affluent Americans” focuses on the wealthiest 10% of U.S. households (11 million) that have average incomes of $270,000 and a minimum net worth of $750,000.

Some 43% of households surveyed with incomes above $200,000 plan to get a new vehicle.
