The incoming Trump Admin. is making noises about changing many of the policies related to the auto industry set in place by President Biden, as well as new tariffs that would significantly impact automakers manufacturing vehicles in Mexico and Canada under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
WardsAuto Senior Editor and Podcast Host David Kiley spent the day with the Alliance for Automotive Innovation at its recent Merge event, and spoke with Alliance CEO John Bozzella and Michael Berube, Department of Energy Deputy Assistant Secretary for Sustainable Transportation & Fuels, about the changes expected from the Trump White House and what the next few months look like.
