A Cadillac commercial starring young scientists, artists and entrepreneurs tops the weekly Most Engaging Auto Ads ranking, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

Linked by an inspirational theme, “only those who dare drive the world forward,” the youthful rule-breakers include digital activist Morgan DeBaun, gastronomist Flynn McGarry and wearable-tech innovator Kenneth Shinozuka. Only at the end of the spot does an actual Cadillac briefly appear, along with the campaign’s tagline: “Dare greatly.”

The Cadillac spot supplants the former No.1, Subaru’s “Dog Tested: Puppy” spot, which falls to No.4 in engagement, with another Subaru ad, “Dog Tested: Phone Navigation,” just behind it at No.5.

A Jeep ad plugging its Renegade “Dawn of Justice” Special Edition model holds steady in second place, while a heavily aired Mazda commercial, “The Proposal: Driving Matters,” moves up from fifth to third place.
