Ford’s ‛Champions’ Spot Captures Week’s Ad Crown

Audi&rsquo;s Captain America ad slides to second, while Mazda&rsquo;s long-running &ldquo;Carried Away&rdquo; commercial hangs on at No.4 in the ranking.

A Ford commercial for the ʼ17 Escape takes the No.1 position in the weekly Most Engaging Auto Ads ranking, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

The Ford spot, dubbed “We Are All Champions,” applies a sports theme to everyday activities performed by people using their Escape CUVs.

Audi’s promotional tie-in ad for “Captain America: Civil War” moves into second place after leading the previous week, while Nissan secures the No.3 spot with its “Everyday Experts” ad that incorporates a cast of real-life safety-minded professionals, including a firefighter, police officer and E.M.T. who experience Nissan collision-avoidance technology firsthand.

Mazda slips to fourth place from third with “Carried Away,” a spot that’s had over 1,000 airings. And BMW rounds out the chart at No.5 with a new commercial featuring American model Gigi Hadid.
