Mazda Braces for Challenge From Lexus on Top Auto Ads List

A CGI-animated Lexus commercial, &ldquo;Brace Yourself,&rdquo; takes over the second-place slot this week, boosted by 2,585 national airings to date.

 

One Mazda commercial gains and another slips in the weekly Most Engaging Auto Ads rankings powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

Mazda’s “Carried Away,” the No.2 ad last week, moves up to No.1, while the previous top ad, Mazda’s “Driving Matters: Passenger,” falls to third place. A CGI-animated Lexus commercial, “Brace Yourself,” takes over the second-place slot, boosted by 2,585 national airings to date.

Also in heavy rotation, at No.4: a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid spot starring actor James Marsden, with 3,833 airings so far; that’s a gain of 531 airings in just one week.

Finally, a Chrysler commercial starring Jim Gaffigan enters lands on the chart at No.5. The ʼ17 Chrysler Pacifica is good for his “dad brand,” the comedian says.
