Mazda Crafts Comeback to Top of Auto Ads List

Kia’s “Share Some Soul” spot slides down to No.3 after one week atop the most-engaging auto ads chart.

After a week in second place, Mazda is back to claim the top spot in the Most Engaging Auto Ads ranking, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

Mazda’s CX-9 “Driving Matters: Crafted” commercial snagged 19.8% of the industry’s digital share of voice in the past week and has had 2,558 total national airings.

Toyota checks in at No.2 with a whimsical spot for the ’17 Camry in which a woman’s wish for a presidential escort is granted. The ad features the song “Ponme to Eso Palante” by El Chuape.

Kia drops to third place from first with its “Share Some Soul” commercial, which stars folk/R&B musician Nathaniel Rateliff and his band, as well as Kia’s famous hamsters. Dodge comes in at No.4 with a spot promising to “bring the heat” and liven up a family reunion.

Volvo rounds out the chart in fifth place with its ’16 XC90 ad featuring music by Sharon Van Etten. This spot, which has been on and off the chart for weeks, has had 1,267 national airings.
