Mercedes Takes Control of Ad Rankings

Mercedes Takes Control of Ad Rankings

Commercials centered on Mercedes’ prowess in the snow and its potential as the perfect Christmas gift are hits with viewers.

Mercedes-Benz’ “Snow Date” commercial leads all others in this week’s Most Engaging Auto Ads rankings, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

The spot reminds viewers of the nervous excitement that accompanies first dates with a story about how a boy is able to get to a movie theater to meet a girl despite a snow storm, thanks to his dad and their all-wheel-drive Mercedes CUV.

Mercedes appears a second time this week, taking third place with a holiday-themed “Early Risers” commercial in which the parents act like kids and the kids act like parents.

The No.2 slot goes to Toyota with an ad for the ’17 Corolla featuring the song “You Don't Own Me” by Lesley Gore. With this fun, sing-a-long spot Toyota reminds viewers to celebrate who they are and the things that make them unique.

Subaru and Mazda round out the chart, with the former’s “Share the Love” event commercial (featuring another sing-a-long) taking fourth place and the Aaron Paul-narrated ad for the CX-9 in fifth.

iSpot.tv tracks TV ads in real-time and allows customers to monitor social actions, search activity and online video views associated with TV spots across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Bing and Yahoo!.
