Acura to Digitally Reveal New-Gen TLX
The Type S, powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V-6 and returning after a decade-long hiatus, will be the TLX performance model.
Acura announces it will digitally reveal the all-new second-generation TLX sport sedan on May 28.
The new TLX delivers dramatic gains in style and performance and “will be the quickest, best-handling and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history,” the Honda luxury brand says in a news release. The Type S, powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V-6 and returning after a decade-long hiatus, will be the TLX performance model.
The exterior of the new TLX carries forward the proportions and design language introduced on the Acura Precision Concept in 2016, and later evolved in the Acura Type S Concept, which debuted at Monterey Car Week in August 2019. A teaser image released Wednesday depicts the new TLX’s low roofline and wide rear silhouette with large-diameter quad exhaust outlets and rear diffuser strakes.
The new TLX will make its public debut in a short film viewable at 7 a.m. EST Thursday, May 28 on acura.com/2021-TLX.
