Alfa Romeo will roll out the Alfa 8C Competizione at the 2006 Paris auto show later this month.
The exclusive Gran Turismo Competizione model will be produced in limited numbers, the auto maker says, and is meant to evoke the technology and emotion of the Alfa Romeo brand.
The Italian auto maker also will show off two Alfa 159s in Paris, one equipped with a 2.2L engine and Selespeed transmission and the other with a 1.9L JTD 16-valve engine. Two Alfa Sportwagons will bow at the show, as well, one with a 260-hp 3.2L V-6 Q4 engine and the other with a 200-hp 2.4L JTDm mill.
All the 159s will be adorned with “ocean black” body color, which the auto maker says “expresses Alfa Romeo’s interpretation of classic sportiness.”
In addition, two new-generation Alfas – the Brera and Spider – are set to bow at the Paris show. The Brera is a black Q4 version equipped with a 24-valve 3.2L V-6 engine that pumps out 260 hp at 6,300 rpm and 237 lb.-ft. (322 Nm) of torque.
The Spider will be shown in two versions – a 185-hp 2.2L JTS and a 260-hp 3.2L V-6 Q4.
Two versions of Alfa Romeo Spider to bow in Paris.
Both the Brera and the Spider feature a bevy of safety devices, including seven airbags, vehicle dynamic control, antilock brakes and fog lights.
Also on hand in Paris will be three versions of the Alfa 147 – the Q2 (distinguished by its front self-locking differential), Black Line II and Collezione II.
The Q2 touts a 150-hp JTDm engine and is distinguished by a front self-locking differential, which Alfa says provides “increased driving satisfaction and control while guaranteeing some of the typical benefits of 4-wheel drive.”
The 3-door Alfa 147 Black Line II is powered by a 120-hp Twin Spark 1.6L engine and “marries sportiness and style,” Alfa says.
The Collezione II touts a metallic black body and two-tone leather interior and fascia. The compact Alfa is equipped with a 150-hp 1.9L JTDm engine.
Rounding out Alfa’s Paris display is the Alfa GT “Black Line,” which features an “Alfa red” body and interior trimmed in black leather top-stitching and a 155-hp 2.0L JTS engine.
