BMW to Cut More Jobs
The cuts will be made through attrition and other voluntary departures, the German auto maker says, and come on top of the 4,000 jobs eliminated in 2008.

BMW AG reportedly will trim another 1,000 jobs in 2009, as a result of the continuing slump in vehicle sales.
The cuts will be made through attrition and other voluntary departures, the German auto maker says, and come on top of the 4,000 jobs eliminated in 2008.
BMW says its sales slide continued last month, with deliveries down on a par with the 24% decline the auto maker posted in January.
BMW expects to save €500 million ($628 million) in labor costs this year.
