General Motors confirms the launch of the new battery-electric Cadillac Vistiq CUV for the 2026 model year.

The Vistiq, slotted between the Lyriq and Escalade IQ, is a 3-row CUV built on the automaker’s Ultium EV architecture.

This is the third electric vehicle Cadillac has confirmed this year and the fifth to join its growing EV family. Earlier this year, Cadillac revealed the ’25 ESCALADE IQ, the brand’s first-ever all-electric fullsize SUV.  Last month, Cadillac confirmed the ’25 OPTIQ, which will act as the entry point for the brand’s EV lineup in North America.

“VISTIQ adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” says John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years."

Additional VISTIQ details, including available features and pricing, will be released next year.

The timing of Cadillac’s launches is probably advantageous given where the EV market stands today. While the mandates from the federal government have not moved – 50% of new vehicle sales EVs by 2030 – the buy rate of EVs by consumers has slowed, prompting GM and other automakers to begin to slow-walk EV launches.

GM expects to sell approximately 150,000 EVs in 2023. CEO Mary Barra said this week the automaker still plans on moving to all electric-vehicle sales by 2035 even as it has recently delayed some EV production.
