Effective April 1, Ralph Gilles becomes vice president-Jeep/truck and component design for the Chrysler Group.

Gilles, credited for designing the Chrysler 300 sedan, will succeed Ricardo ‘Rick’ Anerros, who is retiring.

Currently, Gilles is Chrysler’s truck studio design director. He has held that position since 2005.

Gilles joined Chrysler in 1992 after graduating from Michigan State University and Detroit’s College for Creative Studies, formerly the Center for Creative Studies.

“Ralph has emerged as a true talent not only in our organization but in the automotive design community,” says Trevor Creed, senior vice president-Chrysler Group design. “He is a reflection of the company's positive momentum and its deep bench of talent.”
