Chrysler Group LLC names Clyde Campbell managing director of its Australian operations, effective Oct. 1.

Campbell previously was managing director of Melbourne-based Motortrak Pty. Ltd., a company providing Web services to the automotive industry.

He also has held various positions within the previous DaimlerChrysler AG organization, including general manager-sales for Mercedes Benz passenger cars in Australia.

Campbell replaces Gerry Jenkins, named in August as CEO and President of Chrysler (China) Sales Co. Ltd., and will report directly to Chrysler Asia Pacific Operations CEO John Kett.

“Over the next 24 months, Chrysler is set to renew or replace virtually its entire lineup and Clyde will be an integral part of this process,” Kett says in a statement.
