Chrysler LLC names Cynthia C. Sidoti to vice president-supplier quality, where she will establish and execute a quality strategy for suppliers and manage supplier programs for new vehicles.

Sidoti arrives at her new position from the auto maker’s assembly plant in Sterling Heights, MI, where she served as plant manager. Prior to that, Sidoti served as plant manager at Chrysler’s supplier park in Toledo, OH. She joined the auto maker in 2000.

Sidoti will report to John Campi, executive vice president-procurement. Campi calls Sidoti a natural choice to lead the auto maker’s supplier quality efforts, citing her “extensive knowledge and experience, particularly in manufacturing quality.”

The 45-year-old Sidoti replaces Scott Garberding, who Chrysler recently appointed vice president-global alliance operations.

Sidoti’s appointment comes during a time of rapid turnover in Chrysler’s procurement ranks. In January, Campi replaced Simon Boag, who moved to the newly created post of executive vice president-Global Alliance Operations. Boag spent just seven months as head of procurement of at Chrysler, replacing Peter Rosenfeld who decided in May to exit the auto maker after 25 years of service.
