The U.S. Army Reserve and a dealership group based in Bristol, CT, formed a public-private partnership that will let both recruit, train and employ young people interested in both serving the nation and pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

The agreement provides Reserve soldiers with opportunities for employment at the 10-franchise, 9-store Crowley Auto Group in areas such as mechanics, supply, logistics, and administration once they successfully complete military occupational training.

“This partnership will provide me with soldier-employees of strong character, great knowledge and maturity,” says CEO and owner Kenneth Crowley. “It is also a way for me to give back and say ‘thank you’ to individuals who have dedicated themselves to serving our nation.”

The partnership seeks to formalize the relationship between the Army Reserve and the private sector.
