With the recent decrease in gas prices and the approach of winter weather, used-car dealership chain CarMax Inc. reports an increase in online searches for sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks.

“One of the ways we gauge consumers' interest in sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks is by monitoring the search activity on our website,” says Tom Folliard, CarMax's president and chief executive officer.

He sees a resurgence of interest in vehicles such as the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford F150 and Ford Expedition, which climbed in popularity based on carmax.com searches.

However cars such as the Honda Accord, Ford Mustang and Toyota Camry continue to remain popular.

Here are the top 10 most popular used vehicles based on nearly 4 million visits to carmax.com:
