A new texting tool, @utoText, lets dealerships send text messages to customers when their vehicle has been repaired.

The communication tool from @utoRevenue also allows the shop to text customers for approval of repair orders, give status updates and send appointment reminders.

“Forward-looking technologies are what dealers need to differentiate their service experience from the competition,” says Brice Englert, general manager of @utoRevenue.

Through a hosted portal, dealers have access to build a database of opt-in text message subscribers. By directly communicating with their customers, dealerships can enhance customer experiences, he says.
