As I look ahead to Jan. 23-26, the dates of the 2025 NADA Show in New Orleans, I think of the 20-plus past shows I’ve attended.

The commonality among all of them is that their offerings change as quickly as the retail auto market. And, as dealers know, that market has changed, some might say dramatically, since the 2024 NADA Show in Las Vegas.

Pricing trends, inventory levels, consumer preferences, new technology and an array of policy developments have all played into the retail auto market, including the high level of buy-sell activities among dealers.
