Lotus has revealed its first BEV four-door sports gran tourer boasting a fast-charge capability of 93 miles of range from just five minutes on a fast charger.

Using the brand’s high performance dual motor powertrain, the Emeya ‘hyper-GT’ claims a 0-62mph sprint time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of more than 155mph. It also features active aerodynamic features such as the active front grille, rear diffuser and rear spoiler.

Emeya has an electronically controlled air suspension system. Its onboard sensors monitor the road 1,000 times a second and automatically adjust the vehicle to ensure the smoothest ride. When using a 350kW DC fast charger, its battery pack can boost range up to 80% within 18 minutes. Naturally these days, sustainability is highlighted with the use of new luxury thread made from repurposed fibers from the fashion industry, as well as PVD aluminum, Alcantara, Nappa leather and Ultrafabrics PU.

Feng Qingfeng, CEO, Lotus Group, said: “Bringing together our rich heritage with intelligent performance and the latest cutting-edge technologies, we’re pushing the boundaries for how a luxury electric vehicle should look and handle– making it truly for the drivers.”
