Public tests EVs in LA

Electric vehicles show promise, but improvements in range and public remote recharging infrastructure are needed before this mode of transportation will be viable. That's the reaction of 79 Los Angeles-area drivers upon competing the first six-month public test drive of General Motors Corp.'s Impact EV.
