Fiat 500 Turbo comes to dealers in fall.

Fiat adds another sport trim package to its 500 subcompact, the latest in the brand’s resurgence in North America.

The Fiat 500 Turbo was unveiled today at Concorso Italiano, an annual enthusiast event for owners of Italian cars. It features a twin-intercooled, 1.4L Multi-Air Turbo powertrain, which is also used in some versions of the Dodge Dart.

The engine mates with a five-speed manual transmission and pumps out 135hp and 150 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbo follows the 500 Sport and 500 Abarth in more performance-oriented versions of the car.

It retails at a suggested price of $19,500 and arrives in dealers this fall, the auto maker says.
