A new e-mail database marketing system from ADT Automotive will allow the auction company to get important information to dealers with a click of a button.

The software program alerts dealers to a Bank One interactive sale on the Dealer Direct portion of the ADT Automotive website.

"The great thing about this program is that it interacts with our existing database to select specific groups of dealers we'd like to reach with a particular e-mail," says Cynthia Meyer, manager of the program called ADT LION.

The e-mail system is currently being used only to send alerts to dealers registered to do business on Dealer Direct, but Ms. Meyer says it won't be long before the company uses the system to broadcast information about sales at ADT Automotive's physical auction locations around the country.

"We expect to be sending four or five e-mails every day to various subsets of our dealer database," says Ms. Meyer.

Automotive Repair (CCAR) and the US EPA Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA).

The database, which will be located on CCAR's GreenLink website (www.ccar-greenlink.org), will offer important information in Spanish on how to manage, control and minimize shop-generated waste.

CCAR says the new information will help Spanish-speaking automotive professionals answer environmental-related questions and will help promote environmental responsibility and compliance in the hundreds of automotive businesses located in Hispanic communities across the country.
