India Vehicle Sales Up 8.7% in August

India vehicle sales totaled 264,799 units for August 2014, up 8.7% vs. August 2013.

August 2014 vehicles sales increased 6.2% compared with July 2014.

2014 sales through August totaled 2,122,776. This was down 4.4% over the same period in 2013.

Maruti Suzuki was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 757,636, resulting in a 35.7% market share.
