Italy Vehicle Sales Down 26.3% in September

Italy vehicle sales totaled 118,816 units for September 2012, down 26.3% vs. September 2011.

September 2012 vehicle sales increased 87.8% compared with August 2012 sales. The ending of the European holiday likely contributed to this jump.

2012 sales through September totaled 1,189,083, down 21.8% over the same period in 2011.

Fiat Automobile SpA is the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 354,801, resulting in a 29.8% market share.
