Italy Vehicle Sales Down 8.4% in August

Italy vehicle sales totaled 57,932 units for August 2013, down 8.4% vs. August 2012.

August 2013 vehicle sales decreased 50.7% compared with July 2013 sales. The European holiday likely contributed to the drop.

2013 sales through August totaled 966,075, down 9.7% over the same period in 2012.

Fiat was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 281,650, resulting in a 29.2% market share.
