Italy Vehicle Sales Up 0.1% in August

Italy vehicle sales totaled 58,573 units for August 2014, up 0.1% vs. August 2013.

August 2014 vehicle sales decreased 53.8% compared with July 2014 sales. The European holiday contributed to the drop.

2014 sales through August totaled 1,009,559, up 4.4% over the same period in 2013.

Fiat was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 280,193, resulting in a 27.8% market share.
