Japan Vehicle Sales Down 9.1% in August

Japan vehicle sales totaled 333,471 units for August, down 9.1% vs. August 2013.

August 2014 sales decreased 27.5% compared with July 2014.

2014 sales through August totaled 3,799,540, up 7.0% over the same period in 2013.

Toyota was the leader in year-to-date vehicle sales, with total of 1,066,122, resulting in a 28.1% market share.
