Japan Vehicle Sales Up 12.4% in August

Japan vehicle sales totaled 370,777 units for August, up 12.4% vs. August 2011.

August 2012 sales decreased 27.7% compared with July 2012.

2012 sales through August totaled 3,831,259, up 46.1% over the same period in 2011.

Toyota was the leader in year-to-date vehicle sales, with total of 1,203,475, resulting in a 31.4% market share.
