Japan vehicle sales totaled 751,888 units for March, up 71.8% vs. March 2011. Sales last year were dramatically low due to the earthquake.
March 2012 sales decreased 44.7% compared with February 2012.
2012 sales through March totaled 1,687,438, up 47.5% over like-2011.
Toyota was the leader in year-to-date vehicle sales, with total of 528,025, resulting in a 31.3% market share.
