- Russia vehicle sales totaled 235,744 units for August 2011, up 33.7% vs. August 2010. This increase is a result of the government scrappage system and the recovery of Russia’s economy.
- August 2011 vehicle sales decreased 0.2% compared with July 2011 sales.
- 2011 sales through August totaled 1,765,010. This was up 47.2% over the same period in 2010.
- AutoVaz was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 392,999, resulting in a 22.3% market share.
