U.K. Vehicle Sales Up 6.2% in September

U.K. vehicle sales totaled 480,974 units for September 2014, up 6.2% vs. September 2013.

September 2014 vehicle sales increased 450.4% compared with August 2014 sales. September sales are traditionally high because buyers wait for the new license plate cycle that begins that month.

2014 sales through September totaled 2,231,556. This was up 9.5% over the same period in 2013.

Ford was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 326,495, resulting in a 14.6% market share.
